Major Water Damage event in Herscher, Illinois

Recently there was a major water damage event in the village of Herscher Illinois. According to the weather service 2.8 inches of rain fell in the Herscher area in less than one hour and 15 minutes causing extensive flooding and water damage to over 30 residences including the village hall and police department. The overflow also caused the southeast tank at the sewer plant to move.
SERVPRO Of Kankakee County began receiving calls as early as 1:45 AM. Our crews responded with professionalism and aplomb.
The Village of Herscher is a dynamic community and SERVPRO was there to assist in the mitigation efforts.
The community pulled together during this calamity. We salute the Pilot Township Fire Protection District, the Herscher Police Department, Public Works, and the electric, gas and cable utilities.
We also wish to thank a major Insurance Carrier in Herscher who graciously encouraged us to use their parking area and their offices for our staging and data entry.
